Exposure to hazardous chemicals on the job is a safety concern for South Texas College (STC) faculty and staff. Teaching, administration, and maintenance staff commonly use chemicals for cleaning, disinfection, maintenance, and school laboratories. As per the Hazard Communication Act, this course aims to educate South Texas College employees on the required Hazardous Communication (HazCom) Plan. Additionally, learn to identify employer and employee responsibilities for safely communicating hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
