Enhancing Teaching and Learning with Notebook LM: From Lecture Preparation to Student Success

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This interactive session will introduce faculty to practical ways of using Google Notebook LM to enhance course preparation, student engagement, and academic success. Participants will learn how Notebook LM can be used to transform textbook chapters, lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, articles, and other course materials into AI-generated podcasts, study guides, summaries, flashcards, mind maps, and visual learning tools.

The presenter will demonstrate how Notebook LM is used to create chapter podcasts and lecture notes for face-to-face and online instruction, helping students review content in multiple formats. Faculty will also explore how students can upload their own notes, readings, and PowerPoints to generate personalized study guides, mind maps, flash cards, and infographics that support comprehension and retention. Practical examples from Criminal Justice courses will be shared, along with strategies for incorporating Notebook LM into a variety of disciplines while promoting active learning and responsible AI use.
