Seamless Student Pathways: The ECHS Model and Texas Direct

This session will describe Senate Bill 1887 - The Texas Direct initiative, as it relates to all Early High School designated schools. Designated Early College High Schools are being required to choose Texas Direct aligned pathways to facilitate better and more seamless transfer opportunities to Texas universities. The presenter will review the Texas Direct website and explain the different components of how pathway credits are earned, course needs and transfer considerations. The Presenter will also discuss potential impacts to high schools and South Texas College.
