Using WICOR Strategies in an Online Teaching Environment

In this session, faculty will learn how to apply Writing to learn, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading to learning strategies in an online course, with an emphasis on collaboration and inquiry. Faculty will discuss and analyze high-impact strategies that will increase student engagement and learning in the online environment. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a how-to courese regarding the use of the online software or how to use your institution's Learning Management System (LMS). Most IT departments support campus software training for faculty. Faculty who attend this session should already be familiar with the basic functionality foot the institutions LMS (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, canvas) including how to post a syllabus, create a discussion board, post assignments, etc.
