KINDER MATHEMATICS ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMY: PROBLEM SOLVING AND DISCOURSE DAY 1

In the Mathematics Achievement Academy: Problem Solving and Discourse, Kindergarten training, participants will identify actions of a proficient problem solver and build knowledge and understanding of these: a problem-solving heuristic, mathematical discussions, formative assessment strategies that focus on making student thinking visible to the student and to the teacher, and five practices that support mathematical discourse to strengthen student voice and agency. You must have successfully completed an original Mathematics Achievement Academy (K/1, 2, or 3) and currently be a teacher of record at Kinder. Please bring an electronic device. Please also register to attend the afternoon session, Kinder Success with Blended Math Academy. You will also need to attend Day 2 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on November 2, 2021.

Region 15 does not accept credit card payments at this time.
For district personnel within Region 15 there is no charge to attend professional development opportunities, except in some cases where there is a materials fee or when the district does not participate in a particular cooperative (example Mathematics and Science Cooperative).
If an evaluation is available for a workshop you attended, it must be completed before you will be able to register for future workshops. If you have trouble registering for a workshop, please complete the Workshop Support form or contact Region 15 at (325) 658-6571.
Out-of-Region teachers/administrators will be charged $100.00 per day, plus any materials fee associated with the workshop.
ESC reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment.
