This leadership-focused session provides principals, instructional leaders, and superintendents with a comprehensive overview of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and its impact on student success. Participants will explore the origins and evolution of MTSS, deepening their understanding of its purpose in addressing both academic and behavioral needs through a tiered framework. The session will examine how to design and align instructional and assessment plans that support all learners, ensuring equity and access across campuses. In addition to improving student outcomes, MTSS helps schools reduce discipline referrals, close achievement gaps, increase educator collaboration, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Grounded in Implementation Science, leaders will explore strategies for effectively rolling out and sustaining MTSS practices at both the school and district levels. Emphasis will be placed on aligning MTSS implementation with the Effective District Framework to promote continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and coherence across systems. Through collaborative dialogue and reflection, leaders will walk away with actionable steps to strengthen their district's capacity to support all students through a unified, evidence-based approach.

These modules are geared toward experienced elementary, middle, and high school counselors who seek to learn more about collaborating with their counterparts across grade levels to develop a plan to implement a comprehensive K-12 career advising program that provides all students with career exploration opportunities and supports student access to career and technical education. Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs – An Infrastructure for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) allows school counselors to examine how strong CTE programs can support all students as they prepare for postsecondary success. Participants will explore the components of approved CTE Programs of Study, including coursework, work-based learning opportunities, and industry-based certifications, and understand how these relate to the individual planning components of a comprehensive counseling program. Participants will review the relationship between CTE and programs of study to federal and state legislation (including Perkins V, HB5 - Endorsements, HB3 - Outcomes Bonus Funding, and SB179 - Counseling Duties) and other initiatives. After this module, participants will have a deeper understanding of the value of CTE programs and be better equipped to work with administrators to create the local infrastructure for CCMR driven by data.

This zoom session is geared to develop the knowledge and skills of teachers in Domain 1: Planning and Preparation and Domain 2: Classroom Instruction and developing highly effective teachers thus supporting measures to qualify for Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). This session provides teachers in all grade levels an understanding of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Participants focus on unpacking the standards and learn whether they are emphasizing learning content or processes and what other knowledge and skills and context are implied by the standard. Teachers learn how to write quality objectives. Teachers have the opportunity to practice this skill using their own TEKS and then apply what they have learned to their lesson plans. Participants will learn the components of quality lesson planning that are identified in the book Get Better Faster. They learn how to develop rigorous instruction aligned with the standards. The scientific- based research used in this session is from the Texas Education Agency and Get Better Faster.

Presenter: Shannon Paige, M. A., CCC-SLP Description: Writing, beyond handwriting, is a complex communication process that is learned and shaped over time. It involves the use of text and allows for improved self-expression, increased independence, and active participation in the community. It is an expected outcome of our current educational system yet many students with disabilities, especially those with complex communication needs, have limited access to writing tools, writing opportunities, and writing expectations. This session will highlight the importance of including access to the letters of the alphabet in combination with other symbol sets when developing communication systems, highlight alternative writing tools, and it will provide simple strategies that can be applied early and across settings to promote long-term writing expectations and writing habits to support communication. 3.0 TSHA CEUs

Teachers often find it difficult to implement lessons that help students go beyond rote memorization and repetitive calculations. In fact, institutional norms and habits that permeate all classrooms can actually be enabling "non-thinking" student behavior. Sparked by observing teachers struggle to implement rich mathematics tasks to engage students in deep thinking, Building Thinking Classroom researchers have translated 15 years of research into this practical guide on how to move toward a thinking classroom. Teachers will see 14 optimal practices for thinking that create an ideal setting for deep mathematics learning to occur. Our time together • Provides the what, why, and how of each practice and answers teachers' most frequently asked questions • Includes firsthand accounts of how these practices foster thinking through teacher and student interviews and student work samples • Offers a plethora of macro moves, micro moves, and rich tasks to get started • Organizes the 14 practices into four toolkits that can be implemented in order and built on throughout the year When combined, these unique research-based practices create the optimal conditions for learner-centered, student-owned deep mathematical thinking and learning, and have the power to transform mathematics classrooms like never before.
