The Deep Dive learning path encourages a more in-depth look at CTE and provides opportunities for learners to use their own Local Education Agency (LEA) data to learn strategies and skills to design effective programs. These modules provide a deeper exploration of the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to optimize outcomes for students, educators, stakeholders, and CTE programs. CTE Program Evaluation provides essential knowledge for CTE leaders to expand their CTE programs to align with high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand occupations. In this module, participants will learn about conducting program evaluations to spearhead program improvement practices while anchoring the work to T-TESS and T-PESS evaluation ratings. Program evaluations build upon the strengths, needs, and priorities identified in the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) and provide guidance for improving and increasing the capacity of program activity.

The Texas School Safety Center is proud to offer a new curriculum developed in partnership with Safe and Sound Schools and Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) that teaches students and staff their very own age and ability options to school safety during an active event. Based upon Safe and Sound Schools' curriculum and ALERRT's Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE), this curriculum will be offered as a six-hour train-the-trainer session for all regional Education Service Centers (ESC). Due to the sensitive nature of the training, the district’s School Safety and Security Committee will need to approve district staff attending the training. The TX Staying Safe: School Safety Response training is an adapted version of ALERRT’s Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training. This ToT will be a full-day training, with different sessions in the morning and afternoon.
