Spending Plan & Data Validation

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

As districts continue to build out their Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) plans, this virtual session will focus on two critical components: finalizing the Spending Plan and understanding the Data Validation Process.

During this session, participants will:

Draft their spending plan components
Outline a plan for allotment funds that complies with the 90/10 rule
Understand retirement implications and plan for teacher movement
Understand what it means to verify and determine eligible staff
Prepare to review the draft Spending Plan with the TIA Planning Committee
In addition, participants will receive an overview of the Data Validation Process - a key element in TEA’s review and approval of local designation systems and annual designations. Topics will include:

Ensuring validity and reliability of teacher performance data (observations and student growth)
Evaluating the fairness and accuracy of designation decisions
Aligning with statewide performance standards, value-added data, and campus-level performance
Maintaining consistency across campuses and eligible teaching categories
This session offers practical guidance and collaborative discussion to help districts move forward with confidence and clarity.
