GR 1 MATHEMATICS ACHIEVMENT ACADEMY: PROBLEM SOLVING AND DISCOURSE DAY 1

In the Mathematics Achievement Academy: Problem Solving and Discourse, Grade 1 training, participants will identify actions of a proficient problem solver and build knowledge and understanding of these: a problem-solving heuristic, mathematical discussions, formative assessment strategies that focus on making student thinking visible to the student and to the teacher, and five practices that support mathematical discourse to strengthen student voice and agency. You must have successfully completed an original Mathematics Achievement Academy (K/1, 2, or 3) and currently be a teacher of record at Grade 1. Please bring an electronic device. Please also register to attend the afternoon session, Grade 1 Success with Blended Math Academy. You will also need to attend Day 2 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on February 24, 2022.
