Youth Mental Health First Aid - YMHFA

Virtual Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Course is designed for adults regularly interacting with young people. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. YMHFA addresses multiple points of the TEC and TEA Best Practices List. (2 hours self-paced online work required prior to 4.5 hours Instructor-led training)
