DYSLEXIA ASSESSMENT TRAINING 101

These THREE days of training will address assessments used by educators responsible for assessing students for dyslexia as part of an FIIE. Participants will explore the GORT-5, WRMT-III, TWS-5, TOWRE-2 and the CTOPP-2. Day 1 (September 19th) will cover the CTOPP-2, TOWRE-2, and the TWS-5. Day 2 (September 26th) will cover the GORT-5, and the WRMT-III. Participants are expected to practice on all five assessment instruments on two individuals prior to Day 3. On Day 3 (September 29th), participants will demonstrate proof of competency in administration of assessments before credit is awarded. This training is tailored to those without an assessment background or those without assessment experience. This course requires attendance for 3 full days of training.

Region 15 does not accept credit card payments at this time.
For district personnel within Region 15 there is no charge to attend professional development opportunities, except in some cases where there is a materials fee or when the district does not participate in a particular cooperative (example Mathematics and Science Cooperative).
If an evaluation is available for a workshop you attended, it must be completed before you will be able to register for future workshops. If you have trouble registering for a workshop, please complete the Workshop Support form or contact Region 15 at (325) 658-6571.
Out-of-Region teachers/administrators will be charged $100.00 per day, plus any materials fee associated with the workshop.
ESC reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment.
