Understanding Trauma & Its Impact/Trauma-Sensitive Schools: Best Practices for Understanding & Responding to Struggling Students

We hear that word a lot these days – “trauma.” But, what is trauma? How does it impact student development and learning? But, most importantly – what should educators do to help students impacted by trauma in order to help them feel calm under pressure, safe at school, and engaged in learning? This practical workshop will explore these questions and more; in addition, participants are encouraged to bring burning questions of their own!
