Youth Mental Health First Aid - YMHFA

Virtual Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is designed for adults regularly interacting with young people. This course requires 2 hours self-paced work prior to the 4.5 hours Instructor-led training. The training introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. YMHFA addresses multiple points of the TEC and TEA Best Practices List.
