Math for All

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Math for All is a free, one-and-a-half day TEA training worth nine continuing professional education (CPE) credits. It is designed to help educators build capacity in understanding how specific disabilities impact students’ learning of mathematics. Through hands-on activities, participants will explore how learning abilities associated with disabilities, including dyslexia and disorders related to dyslexia, impact the learning of whole number addition and subtraction. In this session, participants will build knowledge and understanding of how instructional supports, including the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Guidelines along with assistive technology, can be used to accommodate and reduce the impact of a disability when learning mathematics. If you choose to attend this training, you will be watching, via Zoom, a live presentation that is happening at another service center. If you would rather attend this training via Zoom from the comfort of your own district or home, there is an option for you to register via Zoom for this training, as well as 2 other offerings of it. You will be sent all of the digital materials necessary either way. If you would like the link to be able to watch these workshops on your own, please email valerie.moos@esc15.net.
