Through the Lens of CTE: Instructional Strategies to Increase Rigor, Relevance and Relationships

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

A series of six zoom sessions presented by Marie Riley. This session is geared to develop the knowledge and skills of teachers in Domain 1: Planning and Preparation and Domain 2: Classroom Instruction. Participants will learn how to ENGAGE the classroom with this exciting and interactive session that models and teaches numerous research-based high yield instructional strategies for both synchronous and asynchronous learning through brain-based activities. These strategies actively engage ALL students and significantly increase learning. Participants will leave this session with a bag full of tools that can be implemented in any subject at all levels. When students are ENGAGED and understand why learning is important to them, they are MOTIVATED. The scientific-based research used in this session is from Barbara Blackburn, Robert Marzano, Marcia Tate, Eric Jensen and William Daggett and states students learn best when they are focused, engaged, and can relate the learning to real-life application thus increasing motivation and academic success.
Zoom link and handouts will be emailed to participant after registering.
