Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

With so many items in our world being powered by lithium-ion batteries it is important to understand the hazards presented by these energy sources. This course will introduce school personnel and first responders to the new hazards presented by Lithium-Ion batteries. We will present a short history on the problem, why these fires are so difficult to put out, and provide tools on how to effectively and safely respond to emergencies involving Lithium Ion batteries. Items that we will go over include:

- Fire Investigation considerations
The course will be offered in four 4-hour trainings across the two days to school district emergency personnel/safety directors and firefighters. Registration can be found on the TEEX website.
