Writing Integrated Theme-Based Reports: Improving Communication and Readability

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

CSEP day 4 - The best practices in contemporary report writing involve moving away from a test-by-test approach and instead, communicating results to parents and teachers in an integrated theme-based style. According to TEA Guidance, reports should not simply consist of standard scores or definitions of processing skills and scores. This session will demonstrate how to use learning theory, such as the Reading Rope, Simple View of Reading, and Building Blocks, to write reports that explain to parents why their child is struggling with reading and what steps will be taken to address it. The focus will be on clear communication and readability.
