MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE STAAR REVIEW

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The Middle School Science STAAR Review administered in Grade 8 is designed to support teachers utilizing engaging hands-on activities and best practices that you can take back to your class immediately. Join in this training as we focus on the transition year science crossover standards. We will focus on historically low performing, high impact TEKS from all 4 reporting categories. This session includes:
• Developing your 10-day plan for review based on your campus data and student needs.
• Experience activities as a student to gain perspective on possible misconceptions.
• Discuss strategies for transferring knowledge from manipulatives and activities to standardized assessments.
• Leaving with activities to take back to your class for immediate use as review or teaching tools.
