Universal Design of Learning

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

In this course, you will take a deep dive into the UDL principle of Multiple Means of Action and Expression and the associated checkpoints. Through scenarios, examples, and activities, you will explore sample lesson plans and apply your understanding of how and when to utilize the UDL strategies associated with this principle.

This course is the fifth of five modules in which you will explore a teacher’s journey through several days of professional learning and self-reflection as you learn ways to encourage students to demonstrate their learning through various forms.

This course was developed by the Texas Education Agency in collaboration with CAST. The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Professional Development Series consists of five online courses, developed, and intended to be completed in sequential order. It is recommended that you begin the series with Course 1, which provides a basic overview of UDL. Course 2 provides you with an in-depth understanding of the UDL framework. Courses 3–5 dive into each of the UDL principles and checkpoints. This course was developed by the Inclusion in Texas Network in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency.
