Growing Words from the Roots Up! K-5

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Participants will explore how phonics instruction evolves from basic letter-sound relationships in early grades to more complex morphological awareness in upper elementary. We will focus on the morphology of words to analyze the structure of word parts such as root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Through hands-on activities, teachers will learn how to help students recognize word patterns, decode unfamiliar text, and become word detectives who can break down multisyllabic words into meaningful parts while improving their reading ability.
