Is speech-language therapy meant to be a forever support? When is it appropriate to consider dismissal from speech-language therapy services? What if parents disagree with the speech-language pathologist's (SLP's) recommendation for dismissal? This session will explore these questions and more by dissecting legally defensible considerations for dismissal from speech therapy services By utilizing robust data collected from the reevaluation, SLPs can gather crucial information regarding the impact of the disability and the need for specially designed instruction from the SLP.
