WRITING WITH INTELLIGENCE: BLENDING HUMAN INSIGHT AND AI TOOLS

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we read, write, and think—but where does it fit in a middle or high school ELA classroom? In this interactive workshop, teachers will explore practical strategies from AI in the Writing Workshop: Find the Write Balance to help students leverage AI as a tool for growth without losing their authentic voice. Participants will examine real classroom examples, try out AI-supported writing practices, and leave with ready-to-use ideas for lesson design, scaffolding, and assessment. The focus will be on striking a healthy balance: preparing students to use AI responsibly, creatively, and critically while still centering the human skills of reading, writing, and thinking that matter most. Book included! Take it back to your classroom as a resource to reference throughout the year.

*This is a repeat session of spring 2026.
*Please bring your laptop/chromebook with you.
**Participants will have to sign up for some of the AI applications to participate.
