Richland Springs TIA Teacher Overview

This professional development session will provide Richland Springs ISD teachers with a comprehensive overview of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) and the district’s local designation system. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how TIA supports teacher excellence and rewards high performance through student growth and observation data.

During this session, teachers will:

Learn about the purpose and structure of the state’s TIA program.

Review the Richland Springs ISD local designation system, including the criteria used to determine eligibility for Recognized, Exemplary, and Master designations.

Explore how T-TESS scores and student growth measures factor into the designation process.

Understand the timeline, data collection process, and expectations for participation in the local system.

Review how designations impact compensation and ongoing teacher evaluation cycles.

By the end of this session, teachers will have a clear understanding of what is expected of them throughout the TIA process, how their performance contributes to designation eligibility, and how Richland Springs ISD is committed to recognizing and rewarding excellence in the classroom.
