Special Education Leadership Conference

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Day one of the conference will be with Susan M. Catlett, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA where she will will provide an applied, in-depth overview of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and the development of effective, ethically sound Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis. Designed for educators, behavior analysts, school psychologists, administrators, and related service providers, the training focuses on identifying the function of challenging behavior through FBA best practices, including indirect and descriptive methods and, when appropriate, experimental analyses. Participants will learn how to operationally define behavior, analyze antecedent–behavior–consequence (ABC) patterns, identify motivating operations, and develop clear, hypotheses that drive meaningful intervention decisions while avoiding common errors that weaken FBAs. Day two will be with Elvin Houston, attorney at Law, who will not only give you legal insight, but will make you laugh along the way.
