THROUGH THE LENS OF CTE: COACHING STUDENTS THROUGH SELF DIRECTED PROBLEM SOLVERS

This ZOOM session is geared to develop the knowledge and skills of teachers in Domain 1: Planning and Preparation Domain 2: Instruction and Domain 3: Classroom Environment and developing highly effective teachers thus supporting measures to qualify for Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). In this session participants will transform their classroom into a high-performing learning system where students become self-directed, independent thinkers, problem-solvers and successful! This includes setting classroom direction and utilizing frequent cycles of improvement through Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA’s). Through PDSA’s students set time-bound measurable learning targets, identify strategies to successfully meet the targets, study the results that measure the target, and act on the results. Participants will learn how to successfully use classroom data, individual student data and student-led conferences that can be utilized during parent meetings and/or ARD meetings. This system is the most efficient and effective way to improve classroom learning results. Participants will see actual classroom examples of the components of Classroom Continuous Improvement and develop a draft deployment plan for implementation.
