EARTH IN ACTION: TEACHING WEATHER, WATER, AND THE DYNAMIC PLANET, FUNDED BY HALIBURTON

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Come join fellow science educators for a dynamic day of exploration, collaboration, and hands-on, classroom-ready approaches to teaching key geoscience disciplines: weather, climate, hydrology, and geology. Grounded in Earth systems thinking, it emphasizes how dynamic processes shape our planet and connect to real-world phenomena. Participants engage in interactive activities such as collecting and interpreting weather data, exploring climate through a greenhouse gas experiment, modeling hydrogeology, and investigating rocks and minerals. Through collaboration and discussion, educators will explore strategies to foster inquiry, promote critical thinking, and make interdisciplinary connections. Participants will leave with practical lesson ideas, adaptable activities, and the confidence to bring geoscience to life in their classrooms.
