BRIDGING THE GAP: ALIGNING READING AND WRITING FOR STUDENT SUCCESS (GRADES 5-8)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

When reading and writing happen in separate classrooms, intentional
collaboration becomes essential. In this session, participants will examine
STAAR SCR and ECR expectations, rubrics, and scoring guides to better
understand how reading comprehension and written communication work
together. Teachers will engage in TEKS-aligned planning and instructional
strategies, explore vertical alignment across grade levels using TCMPC tools,
and leave with practical structures for creating a more cohesive literacy
experience for students.
