1/2 Half Day: Sexual Harassment Under Title IX
Federal law requires every staff member to be equipped to recognize and respond to sexual harassment under Title IX. This comprehensive three-part series prepares your entire district — from classroom to compliance office.
Part 1 | Identifying Sexual Harassment under Title IX. Recognizing sexual harassment, understanding reporting obligations, and responding appropriately.
Part 2 | Responding to Alleged Sexual Harassment under Title IX. Navigating Title IX compliance, grievance procedures, informal resolution, dismissals, and appeals.
Part 3 | Investigation, Determination, and Appeal. A focused look at the federal rules governing investigations, relevancy, credibility, and impartiality throughout the process.

1/2 Half Day: TPIA
This practical training walks participants through the Texas Public Information Act from the moment a request arrives to the final response. This session covers the full life of a request under the Texas Public Information Act: recognizing a request, seeking clarification, preparing cost estimates, and meeting statutory deadlines. Attendees will learn when information can be redacted without an Attorney General ruling, how the key exceptions and third-party proprietary information rules work, and what recent legislative changes mean in practice.
