Level Up Literacy: Strengthening Library Services Across K-12

This interactive session will highlight innovative ways school libraries can strengthen literacy and support student achievement across all grade levels. Participants will explore a variety of initiatives, including a new high school reading program designed to promote a culture of literacy, college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) support, and scholarship writing guidance for students. Elementary librarians will focus on Accelerated Reader (AR) reports and strategies to motives young readers, while all participants will drive into the resources of the Region One Online databases to enhance instruction. In addition, the session will provide hands-on opportunities to engage in collection development and collection analysis; ensuring library remain current, diverse, and impactful. Together, we will explore how libraries can continue to Read, Soar, and Explore while empowering students to level up their literacy and future success.
