Gifted and Talented 30 Hour Training: Day 5

Participants will analyze the historical, legal and conceptual understandings of gifted
education. They will examine the characteristics and behaviors of gifted learners, which are the basis for developing programs that meet their needs.
Participants will be introduced to select teaching models and instructional strategies that promote cognitive and affective growth for gifted students. Specific topics for this day of the training include: Bloom's Taxonomy; Creativity; ways to engage Convergent and Divergent thinking.
