Empower ED: STAAR and STAAR Alt 2 Designated Supports and Eligibility Criteria

Specialized classroom teachers will develop a deep understanding of STAAR Alternate 2 eligibility, administration procedures, and instructional strategies to support students with significant cognitive disabilities. They will learn to create learning strands that provide routine practice with tested skills, ensuring students become familiar with assessment formats and expectations. Additionally, they will explore ways to integrate these skills into daily instruction, fostering consistency and confidence in students as they prepare for the STAAR Alternate 2 assessments.
