This session focuses on strengthening middle school Social Studies instruction through a balance of explicit teaching and purposeful student discourse. Participants will explore how to model historical thinking skills such as sourcing, contextualization, and corroboration through clear think-alouds, while also creating structured opportunities for students to engage in meaningful discussion throughout the lesson cycle.
