Elementary Science Instructional Strategies: 5E, Inquiry, Student Discourse, & Bilingual Supports (Schools 1-9)

This professional development session supports K–5 teachers in effectively implementing the SAVVAS Science curriculum using the 5E lesson model. Participants will focus on student engagement, TEKS alignment, intentional lesson delivery, and phenomenon- and inquiry-based instructional practices.

The session will also highlight structured student discourse, bilingual strategies, and embedded supports such as sentence stems and scaffolds to promote equitable access and academic language development for all students.
