EcoRise: Sustainability, Project-Based Learning, and Mini-Grants (AM Session)

This workshop is for Secondary Science and CTE Teachers. Please bring a laptop in order to access the free curriculum.

Come learn about educational non-profit EcoRise (http://ecorise.org) and how you can use their available resources to enhance student learning with project-based learning and mini-grants for student sustainability projects. Access the curriculum resources, explore the hands-on learning practices, and hear from teachers about student projects that have empowered and engaged their K-12 classrooms through environmental literacy and sustainability education.

Targeted funding for PSJA ISD is now available for those teachers wanting relevant lessons that make learning fun and build student stewardship through PBL.

Agenda:
Access dozens of easy-to-implement design activities and environmental literacy lessons that you can use with your own students in a remote or in-person environment.
Experience the Design Studio curriculum through a sustainability-themed design challenge to empower students to design impactful solutions to sustainability challenges.
Explore how to apply for an Eco-Audit Grant, EcoRise's student-driven project fund, and review examples of successful student campus and community projects!
