Social Emotional Development as a Foundation for School Readiness

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The participants will review the social and emotional development domain, and its typical skills found in the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines. Discuss classroom teacher-child interactions that support the development of this domain in young children and result in the modeling of respect and pro-social skills that children can use to interact with their peers. Building a community of respect and a sense of belonging with simple interactions can give children the assurance and positive attachment needed to be able to attain pre-literacy and mathematical skills for lifelong concept learning.
