Understanding Autism and ADHD in Early Childhood: Characteristics & Effective Interventions

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This presentation will provide Pre-K teachers with essential knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in young children. It will cover the key characteristics of both disorders, including challenges with communication, social interactions, attention, impulsivity, and sensory sensitivities. Teachers will learn practical, developmentally appropriate behavioral and classroom interventions to support 3- and 4-year-old students with these needs. Strategies will focus on fostering communication, promoting self-regulation, creating structured and inclusive classroom environments, and using sensory-friendly techniques. The session will equip educators with tools to enhance student engagement, reduce challenging behaviors, and create a supportive learning experience for all children.
