From Then to Now: Understanding SCR Expectations

In this session, teachers will take a close look at released Short Constructed Responses (SCRs) from the past several years to identify patterns, shifts, and trends in expectations. Participants will compare student samples, analyze scoring guides, and discuss implications for classroom practice. The goal is to deepen understanding of what strong responses look like so teachers can better support students in developing evidence-based, high-quality written work in Social Studies.
