Preparing Students for TSI Success and College-Level Rigor

This advanced professional learning workshop is designed for our Early College High School math teachers who play a critical role in shaping students’ college readiness. The TSI Academy will focus on equipping educators with high-impact instructional strategies, data-driven approaches, and targeted interventions that strengthen students’ mathematical foundations and accelerate their path to college success.

Participants will explore common TSI skill gaps, analyze student performance trends, and engage in hands-on activities that model effective scaffolding, problem-solving routines, and test-taking strategies. Teachers will collaborate to design aligned mini-lessons, develop student practice materials, and identify methods for supporting Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 learners.

By the end of this workshop, math teachers will leave with a refined toolkit of evidence-based practices, strengthened content alignment to TSI standards, and actionable plans to prepare students not only to pass the exam—but to thrive in their first college-level math course.
