PSJA SWECHS Carnegie Curriculum Review & Lesson Planning

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

During this professional development day, teachers will engage in a focused review of the Carnegie curriculum to ensure alignment with state standards, district expectations, and campus instructional priorities. Educators will analyze curriculum components, including scope and sequence, lesson structures, instructional resources, and assessments, to evaluate rigor, pacing, and alignment to the depth of the standards.

Teachers will collaboratively plan upcoming lessons by unpacking standards, identifying learning targets, and designing aligned instructional activities, checks for understanding, and assessments. Time will be dedicated to refining lesson plans to incorporate effective instructional strategies, differentiation, and supports for diverse learners. By the end of the session, teachers will have developed or revised lesson plans that are cohesive, standards-aligned, and ready for implementation, ensuring instructional readiness and consistency across classrooms.
