Beyond the Report: Supporting Children, Families, and Professionals Through the Reporting Process

This presentation will provide an overview of recognizing and reporting child abuse while addressing the personal and professional barriers that can make reporting difficult. Participants will explore strategies for navigating difficult conversations, de-escalating concerns when parents or caregivers become confrontational, and supporting children and families throughout the disclosure and reporting process. The presentation will also focus on building confidence and reducing anxiety or fear associated with making a report.

Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 teachers, early childhood educators, and childcare caregivers.
