The English Language Arts and Reading TEKS offer an opportunity for a more connected and integrated approach to literacy. During this session we will explore the prospect of approaching listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking as one process. We will explore how the processes of literacy work together to promote readers and writers.

This workshop will include:
· Literacy as a connected discipline,
· Planning structure to support all literacy practices,
· Exploration of the reading and writing process, and
· Exploration of how the processes of literacy work together.
