This professional learning session helps counselors translate the 80/20 rule into practical, campus-based action. Participants will examine how the ASCA National Model and the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs call for counselors to spend at least 80% of their time in direct and indirect services to students.Through guided reflection, data-based decision-making, and real-world scenarios, counselors will learn how to analyze their current use of time, identify barriers to compliance, and develop strategies to realign their daily work with student-centered priorities.

T-PESS Pillar Advisors Training equips campus and district leaders with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to serve as effective instructional leaders within the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS). This training provides a deep dive into the T-PESS rubric and its pillars, emphasizing high-impact leadership practices that drive teacher growth, student achievement, and continuous school improvement. Participants learn how to accurately observe, coach, and provide actionable feedback aligned to T-PESS standards, while strengthening calibration, reflective practice, and data-informed decision-making. Through interactive activities, real-world scenarios, and collaborative discussions, Pillar Advisors build confidence in supporting principals and assistant principals throughout the evaluation cycle.
