Every child has the right to go to school free from fear. When schools provide quality, inclusive and safe education, children can learn, build friendships and gain the critical skills they need to navigate social situations. In the best circumstances, school puts children on the path to a promising future. RGCGISD is implementing the Standard Response Protocols (SRS) and the Standard Reunification Methods (SRM) to ensure that our students, staff and all stakeholders are safe and aware of how to respond to a potential threat.

The Texas Assessment Program is a statewide testing program that includes the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), STAAR Alternate 2, the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), and TELPAS Alternate. The Texas Assessment Program is designed to measure the extent to which a student has learned and is able to apply the defined knowledge and skills at each tested grade or the extent to which a student has developed English language proficiency. These required assessments were created to fulfill both federal and state requirements. The online practice tests are designed to familiarize students with the online testing environment, the available tools, and the various types of test questions. These tests provide students with an opportunity to interact with the test interface, respond to questions, and locate and use available tools. Practice tests are released tests that have been previously administered and are available for STAAR and TELPAS. The online practice tests provide students with an opportunity to interact with the online testing environment, locate and use the available tools, and respond to the various types of questions. In addition, small sets of test questions are available as practice sets. These practice sets are used to introduce students to new types of test questions. The Texas Education Agency evaluates public schools and districts under state accountability requirements. Participants will learn when and how these assessments are administered and how they impact the A-F Accountability Rating(s). Through engaging discussions and online assessment examples, participants will grasp the vital and integral importance of practicing online and exposing all eligible students to the online platform.

In the best circumstances, school puts children on the path to a promising future. RGCGISD is implementing the Standard Response Protocols (SRS) and the Standard Reunification Methods (SRM) to ensure that our students, staff and all stakeholders are safe and aware of how to respond to a potential threat.
