Special Education Child Find (Repeat Session)

Mandatory TEP Session.
Participants will receive a fundamental understanding of the definition, purpose, and requirements of Child Find, which is a federal mandate and component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) 2004. The training will address the topics of an overview of Child Find, the key child find populations and LEA responsibilities. In addition, participants will receive an overview of the Texas Education Agency's Statewide Technical Assistance Networks and free resources available to parents and educators of children with special needs.
