Exploring Digital Reading for All Learners

This lesson, delivered in collaboration with SPED teacher, Mrs. Anna Barreiro’s 9-12 grade class, introduces students to the school library’s digital resources through MackinVIA. Students will learn how to access ebooks and audiobooks, search by title, author, and genre, and select texts that match their interests and reading levels. Guided support and modeling will be used to ensure all learners can successfully navigate and engage with digital texts. This lesson aligns with English I–IV TEKS 1(C), focusing on selecting and engaging with self selected texts for personal and academic purposes.
