Complete Attendance
available in:

This in-service session provides educators with a comprehensive look at how Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs of Study prepare students for high skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers. Participants will explore the structure and purpose of CTE pathways, including how coherent sequences of courses build technical skills, industry knowledge, and postsecondary readiness.
A key focus of the session will be understanding current wage and labor market data and how it informs program development, course offerings, and instructional priorities. Educators will examine regional and state workforce trends, projected job growth, and wage information to better understand which industries are expanding and what skills employers are seeking. By connecting labor market intelligence with classroom instruction, teachers can more effectively guide students toward meaningful career opportunities.
Through discussion, examples, and practical tools, this in-service will help participants:
• Understand the components and purpose of CTE Programs of Study
• Interpret labor market and wage data to support program alignment
• Strengthen connections between curriculum, industry needs, and student outcomes
• Equip students with relevant skills that lead to competitive employment and postsecondary success
This session empowers educators to make informed decisions that enhance program quality and ensure students are prepared for the evolving workforce.
