Participants will review the current mandatory standards for school library collection development, examine the latest rule language, and discuss what these requirements mean for daily library operations. 2. Take a closer look at the latest requirements established through SB 13 and their impact on school library collection development. This session explores the new mandatory standards related to acquisition and reconsideration procedures, highlights key implementation considerations, and shares strategies for aligning local policies and practices with current Texas requirements.
