These administrative and leadership PLC meetings bring our administrators, counselors, media specialist, and facilitator together to discuss and strategically plan on instructional, curriculum, and assessment areas of support, including support to instructional technologies being deployed and used by our staff and students, and discuss and plan on areas of support toward student academic growth, progress, and areas of improvement using available teacher and student data during possible future virtual instruction and current face to face instruction models of instruction, including checking on individual student accelerated instruction progress. On Aug 19th, we went over Day 1 logistics, bell schedule, master schedule, and last minute questions on our students' first week back next week, safety measures, positive Covid cases procedures. On Aug 24th, discuss Stand Alone Test in Feb 2022 for 8th Grade Math, Standard Response Protocol Drills, AM/PM Administrative Duties, Remote Conferencing Schedule, Student Enrollment, Teachers' restroom duties during passing periods, and COVID Cases 21-22 Nurses' documentation. On Aug 31st, we reviewed the administrative steps for when we have positive COVID cases on campus, the remote conference schedule and teacher rotations, our follow up on the Back to School forms including the Socioeconomic form, the use of Dr Owl everyday, the withdrawal process and required documentation, and Mrs. Perez presented on the use of the hotspots and student access to their email accounts and password resets. On Sept 8th, we reviewed the parent letter sent through the Reading teachers regarding the After School Tutorials for accelerated instruction in Reading, discussed the required individual student log for counselor documentation, including the required everyday student roster and teacher sign in binder for after school tutorials. We went over the TEEMS log on requirement for administrators and the Zoom training tomorrow on it. We also planned and finalized the Beginning of Year Optional Assessment Testing dates by grade level every week starting on Sept 21st thru Oct 7th. Also, reminded all administrators of teachers needing to update their gradebook since we are printing 3wk progress reports this coming Fri, Sept 10th. We also discussed upcoming Virtual Parent Meetings and the upcoming SOS parent meeting with Dr Matilde Alaniz. On Oct 9th, the administrative team met from 10-10:45AM for a Zoom training on our TEEMS accounts. Also on Sept 9th, we reconvened at 1:30pm in an administrative PLC to go over the steps on ASCENDER to check the teachers' profile and the last date they accessed their gradebooks to update grades for the upcoming 3wk progress reports tomorrow. Those missing were notified. Also, we reveiwed Mr. Edgar Garza's email on the Texas Vetted Tutoring Program and its respective attachment for Reading and Math. We also scheduled to follow the socio-emotional (SEL) curriculum through 6-7 Grade SS and 8th Grade Span/Career Exploration classes. We went over our TEEMS administrative accounts and the steps teachers need to take to get started on their respective TEEMS accounts, scheduling a Teacher PLC for Monday, Sept 13th to guide them through it, including sharing the lead teachers' SLO/SGM drafts over the summer curriculum writing. On Sept 10th, we met as an administrative team to go over the SGM/SLO slides from Tuesday's TIA Stakeholder Meeting to be used Monday, Sept 13th in our Teachers' Weekly PLC. We reviewed the SLO process and the "next steps" on the teachers' TEEMS account. On Sept 14th, we worked together with Mrs Chloe Benitez on the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) performance objective 4 including on needed PO's and strategies for Goals 2 and 5. On Sept 22nd, we shared with Leadership team that No half days on Early release days. Anyone not having record of clock in or clock out in any given day, payroll will automatically deduct the day as an absence. For APs, TPESS self assessment and goal setting from the Resources tab on tpess.org due this Friday. Choose bell schedule for 1st 6wks Exam next week. Review with counselors our AI student list for students doing Reading accelerated instruction from 7:40AM to 8AM. Updated list of AI Rdg Tutorial students in Grades 6 & 7--8th Gr pending after they take the 7th Writing BOY OA tomorrow. Went over counselors' presentation to SS teachers tomorrow on the SEL curriculum. Discuss topics for teacher announcements regarding their TEEMS acct, their self assessment and goal setting due Oct 1st, the 1st 6wks Exam schedule, and the trial use of Chromebooks during the 1st 6wks Exams. On Sept. 27th, we had a HB4545 refresher meeeting to go over the HB4545 Overview, Accelerated Learning Committees and Accelerated Instruction Plans required for our current 6th graders, check on the status of supplemental instruction before, after, or those elective classes embedded during the school day. On Oct 4th, we discussed logistics on hosting the next Freshmen/JV RHS Game at RBMS this coming Wed, Oct 6th, we shared so far what we have learned in the TxCEE/TEEMS account when documenting walkthroughs; went over the approved student applicants and Virtual Learning Program logistics to start later this week; discussed how the recently installed Vape Sensors on Sat, Oct 2nd, in our student restrooms work; reviewed and updated our concession stand Snack Flyer; initially discussed the upcoming Pre/Post Testing and the need to schedule them in by the last week of October 2021 using DMAC to desegregate student data; reviewed 6th Gr BOY Reading roster, including BOY Make Up Roster for 7th and 8th Grade students, to be shared with all staff for tomorrow's BOY Optional Assessment testing; and we also discussed needing to pencil in the 7th Grade Fluency test on Istation in the Clever accounts for students who did not pass the 2021 STAAR or 7th Grade BOY OA by first getting input from the 7th Grade Reading teachers, including a discussion on the Curriculum Writing Proposal Survey for our teachers which will be the main topic of discussion on our next Teacher PLC on Thurs, Oct 7th. On Oct 12th, we went over assessment updates-BOY, STAAR interim assessment-8th Gr Math, 7th Gr Fluency Test with IStation, our previous parent notification for tutoring consent, 6th Grade Accelerated Learning Committee, and Accelerated Learning Plan documentation with counselors, TAG on DMAC updates on the new item types until confirmed by the state, TFAR coming up for teachers to use with the new item types with online testing of students, Zearn and Book Nook Math & Rdg virtual trainings in one future date, TIA Pre/Post Assessment Training Oct 21st Adms & Lead teachers, TTESS Calibration Schedule of one walkthrough per semester, upcoming booster vaccination date of Oct 22nd after school, survey for students ages 5-11 for when the vaccine is approved, Crisis Go--new platform to report Covid cases, and preparation for tomorrow's Volleyball and Football games, including participation at the upcoming RHS homecoming parade on Thurs, Oct 14th. On Oct 18th, we went over documenting walk-thrus on TEEMS acct, upcoming Outdoor Halloween Jamaica logistics, Christmas mug for staff, upcoming basketball and softball schedules and administrative duties, 7th Grade Fluency test status, upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheons, finalizing Accelerated Instruction student lists after BOY OA testing window, and parent tutor working schedule and assignments. On Oct 21st, we met to go over the Official AI student lists after the BOY OA, and who would need an acc class in Rdg that have not stayed for after school tutorials, go over the Jamaica bell schedule and logistics, upcoming basketball and softball practices schedule, the SGM and required uploaded pre-assessments and scoring guides on TEEMS account. On Nov 1st, administrative team met to go over TEEMS account in checking and approving teachers' SGMs. On Nov 4th, we met to go over the updates from the State's Assessment Conference by Mrs Annette Garza, the Board Policy Update 118, the upcoming RAAR Schedule, the TEEMS/SGM progress, the administrative duties for the upcoming Basketball Tournament this coming Saturday. On Nov 9th, administrative team met twice to discuss the upcoming Teacher PLC meeting topics including STAAR Accessibility features, progress on Success Ed for Annual 504 review meetings, and the proper use of student technology and the need for direct active monitoring and checking for understanding on behalf of the teacher at all times with all students including Sp Ed, Sect 504, ELs, GTs, at risk or economically disadvantaged. We then met to debrief on the monring's TxCEE training on the processes for administrators and educator evaluation, including approval status of SGMs. On Nov 15th, administrators met to review teachers' SGM progress, including how to reopen teachers' Self Assessments so they can actually rate themselves in the case of those who have not. We also discuss the Teacher Incentive Allotment and how different subcommittees will be created in the areas of assessment, finance, and communication. Also discussed the upcoming logistics for our Staff Thanksgiving luncheon tomorrow and our Titan Fest this coming Friday, Nov 19th. On Nov 16th, we met to go over on how teachers can access the STAAR practice exams on their texasassessement.org account for content area teachers and watching a 30 min video on tx.tms.pearson.com on how to create exams using TFAR teacher accounts. On Nov 17th, Mr Edgar Garza, Testing Director, presented to the administrative team on how to create tests using the cambiumast.com website. Then again, we met 7th pd to go over the SGM statuses of teachers for those who are pending approvals, in draft, needing revision, or have not started in their TEEMS account. We also reviewed the principals' mtg agenda items from yesterday's principals' meeting for important dates and announcements.
