School Nursing 101 for New School Nurses

School nursing is a unique field. The expectations and standards of care are somewhat different than that of other nurse practice settings. The school nurse is responsible for implementing the school health program, assisting with student well-being and completing health related tasks. This training focuses on the components of school health and the school nurse’s role and responsibility. Laws and statues along with best practices for balancing the workload will be shared.

Participants will learn the roles and responsibility of a school nurse.

Participants will identify laws and statues relevant to the school health program.

Cancellation deadline is September 13th.
