Teacher Talk- Let Language Lead the Way to Literacy 20-21

As educators of young children, we have a very important role to play in laying the foundation for the development of reading and writing skills. This session will discuss the important links between oral language development and literacy. Come learn how to use book reading as a time for interaction and conversation while helping children develop positive attitudes towards print. Prerequisite: "Teacher Talk- Encouraging Language Development in Early Childhood. Improve school climate. Cancellation deadline: 10/13/2020. Attendance at Teacher Talk: Encouraging Language Development in EC, September 18, 2020, is a prerequisite for registration at this Teacher Talk session. Encourage campus teams (SLP AND Head Start, PreK, K, or ECSE teacher) TSHA credit pending.
