Building Background: Connecting the Pieces and Making Them Stick

Background knowledge is a collection of ideas, thoughts, and experiences acquired that is an essential component in learning. If a student has limited educational experiences then new information often times does not stick. This session will help you develop strategies that will allow your students to link their prior knowledge to new learning, build vocabulary to enhance their own comprehension, and make connections to the new concepts that you are teaching.
Cancellation deadline is October 23, 2020.
