What Do You Mean Argumentative, Not Persuasive?

In the TEKS adopted for implementation in 2019-2020, the terminology for a persuasive essay has changed to argumentative in grades 3-12. What are the differences between the two types of writing? What are some resources for argumentative writing for both reading and writing instruction? In this session, participants will use strategies, resources, and ideas to create an instructional plan for teaching argumentative essays.
